Dr. Benjamin Egusquiza is a double board-certified psychiatrist specializing in working with children, adolescents, and adults. He graduated magna cum laude from the University of Texas at Arlington with a double major in Biology and Psychology. He earned his medical degree from UCC in Puerto Rico and completed his residency in general psychiatry at the University of Miami Leonard M. Miller School of Medicine. Additionally, he completed two-year fellowship training in child and adolescent psychiatry at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. ​Dr. Egusquiza possesses over a decade of experience in the medical field. Currently, he works part-time at the child and adolescent unit in Memorial Regional Hospital/Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital. He is also the Regional Medical Director for one of the biggest telepsychiatry companies in the nation, where he renders clinical oversight and is in charge of training and educating current and new psychiatrists.  Over the years, Dr. Egusquiza has worked in several emergency rooms and overseen operations on multiple medical floors throughout Florida and Texas, providing complete psychiatric evaluations for patients struggling with a wide range of complex and difficult cases. His undying passion and commitment to his work show in the way he interacts with his patients. He enjoys working with people from diverse backgrounds and has a profound respect for their values, cultures, and beliefs. Dr. Egusquiza is adept at using various clinical tools for accurate diagnosis, providing holistic treatment, and tracking progress. Demonstrating empathic understanding, he promotes collaboration in developing a treatment plan backed by a science-based approach to yield better patient outcomes.


Services & Fees
Psychiatric Evaluation Appointment:
Child and adolescents (5-17) up to 90 minutes $500

Adult (18-50) up to 60 minutes $450
​
Comprehensive assessment of signs and symptoms with discussion of diagnosis and treatment plan which may include medication management, recommendations for psychotherapy, neuropsychological testing, medical labs and genetic testing.
Psychiatric Follow Up Appointments:
up to 25 minutes $190

Examine response to medication and optimization as well as continue work up and education about diagnosis, treatment plan and medication regimen.
